I recently moved from New York City to a small town on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. I needed a break from the fast paced life and sought out the opposite. It seems to be working for me right now. I was a corporate gal and then 5 years ago quit to pursue comedy - stand up, and so naurally temp work. I am a writer, a comedian and a humorist.

What's your favorite public radio show?

Prairie Home Companion and This American Life. It is a toss up and hard for me to decide. I like This American Life because it tells a story with a theme, a purpose. At times it is funny, sometimes sad, often if not always humorous and universal. Yet it is more than just all of that. I feel connected to the host, the stories and the people within and that tell them. I enjoy Prairie Home Companion because it is the big variety show that no one else is doing nor has done for the last 30 years. Over the radio that show has created an entire world filled with stories, music and laughter.

What's your secret talent?

I am wise.

What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?

Bye bye Miss America Pie

What sound is most characteristic of where you live?

Water, waves hitting the shore.

What's your favorite sound memory?

riding in the car, cars rushing by in the other lane.

Which station do you listen to most?

No specific station. I surf. I listen to my NPR station 89.5 in the morning to wake me up, then surf for music on the way to work, and finally NPR 89.5 on the way home from work to finish my day.
