Bio

Jason Z. is originally from Oklahoma City and moved to Nashville in 2001. Serving as a D.J. at a 100,000 watt station in OKC, he eventually took on the morning show position, he has not only learned a lesson or two about "non-profit" radio, but has also been able to give back to his community. With 13 years of on-air experience, Jason has yet to have the opportunity to truly shine.
Jason and his wife Crystal reside in the great state of TN and look forward to the outcome of the Talent Quest. Some of Jason's favorite things:

What's your favorite public radio show?

One that has my name in it. It would be nice to have a show that caters to young adults 13-24 and addresses "Real" issues. Interviews on both sides. Maybe a show about the different types of measuring sticks human beings use to measure their self-worth and if the "measuring stick" needs to be changed. How do "normal" people, Christians, Secularists, Scientists, Models, Mothers, Fathers, Children, Teenagers, 20-somethings measure their self-worth? How do differing measuring sticks effect the world around us?

The sound of my son crying for the first time until he reached out to touch my finger and then went quiet.

The sound of the Reverend Billy Graham crying over the names of the victims in the Daily Oklahoman during the memorial service of the Bombing in Oklahoma City.
