State: NY
Bio: Born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, moved to NC in the third grade and was raised there. However, my fondest memories are of the midwest. I've lived the past 20 years (on and off)in New York City.
What's your favorite public radio show?: I love public radio, but I have to say my all time favorite radio listening experience is from my childhood in Oklahoma and Texas listening to the AM station in Del Rio Texas. I loved the hosts, so natural, I think it was the only time I felt like a DJ was actually talking to me. I loved the agriculture reports, the local community calendar, the music.
What's your secret talent?: Roller skating.
What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?: "Fancy" sung by Bobbie Gentry.
What sound is most characteristic of where you live?: Car horns.
What's your favorite sound memory?: My older sister practicing Chopin in the middle of the night.
