My life really started after I lost my sight when I was 29. Since then I have, tried my hand at being a singer song writer. That was cool, we had a band and traveled all over the country. I really liked singing at bike ralleys. I left Nashville when I was 33 and moved to uper East Tennessee. I graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2005. While in college I created and hosted three shows for our campus radio station. Through my work at the station I made friends with our university president. When I graduated he stopped the graduation to personally congradulate me and my Seeing Eye Dog Bonnie. Durring school and after graduation I have given several lectures on blindness related issues for verious ETSU classes.
Now I work for WETS-FM our public radio station. I co-host a university related talkshow. I had a lot of fun interviewing Danny Glover. We all were allowed so much time but, he made them give me extra time because, he spent my time asking me questions.
I was honored by the university when they redecorated our admenistration building. They took photos of groups, admenistrators, coaches and other stuff like that and created murals. There is a really big picture of me and my dog at graduation up there too. It is the only picture of an individual student.

What sound is most characteristic of where you live?

I live in the city just down from the police and fire stations. Guess what I hear all of the time.
