When I was in 10th grade our teacher had us go out for career day and interview a person whom we'd like their career. I interviewed an award-winning popular radio personality. Fast forward to college, I became a popular radio personality and ended up beating the very same personality I interviewed 5 years earlier as the #1 DJ in Denver. I've never stopped and have curated radio shows all over the world.

STREET CRED INCLUDES: “Best Radio DJ in Denver” from the Westword. I also won “Best Morning Show DJ” and “Best Radio DJ” from Denver’s Citysearch. This was a few years back when I was a full-time DJ, now I still do it, but am on-air less hours due to my “grown up job” as a tv producer. I was also in the Top 5 of “Best Club DJs In Denver” from The Denver Post too. I was a radio DJ in London, England for a short time hosting a show called, “MP3 Treasure Chest” where I would play music that you could only find online, that weren’t on big labels and I interviewed bands from all over the world--- this was before the whole “get your band heard on myspace phenomenon”! On occasion, I make stuff. I did an art show to raise money to move out to London and sold 7 out of the 10 pieces. If you want more info about me or want me to DJ an event, an interview, or invite me talk at an event, or make you some art, just let me know. I’m pretty approachable.

What's your favorite public radio show?

Tough to say- I like Fresh Air a lot, but am working when its on. I love Car Talk, but don't catch it as much as I'd like. Of course I'm a fan of TAL. But what I listen to most is Talk of the Nation, its the show that's there for me while driving home from work. I love the ever-changing topics and guests. Online, I download all of Bob Boilen's music podcasts and love them... I like the Pop Culture podcasts and the Movie ones too. Like I said, its hard to say!

What's your secret talent?

I can rap!

What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?

K-Os - Sunday Morning from his album Atlantis: Hymns for Disco (2007)
* no its not a cover of the Velvet Undergound, but a great song.

What sound is most characteristic of where you live?

Dueling banjos- well not really banjos, but there are two offices in my house right next to eachother and my partner and I are both involved in making sound projects. Even with the doors closed, we always know what one another are working on!

What's your favorite sound memory?

My grandma Maxine's humming & song we made up about sunflowers while driving across Nebraska in the Summertime. She's no longer around, but this sound memory will be with me forever.

Which station do you listen to most?
1340AM (NPR), then 1190 AM (KVCU)
