What's your favorite public radio show?: You know, the standards, This American Life, Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me, Car Talk, Fresh Air is good for a car drive, but I wouldn't play it around the house. Dallas/Fort Worth's KERA has a great local one called Anything You Ever Wanted to Know. Anybody can call and ask a question on any subject or answer any previous question. It's like Wikipedia for radio.
What's your secret talent?: Only my wife knows.
What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?: I would walk 500 miles and I would walk 500 more just to be the man...
What sound is most characteristic of where you live?: Ramblin Kind by Scott Copeland
What's your favorite sound memory?: I was 8 years old, in my room, listening to my folks 1968 comedy album Hello Dummy! by Don Rickles, laughing hysterically.
From a musical standpoint, as a teenager I remember hearing Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine and thinking, "Wow, this is something so different than anything else."
