Bio: Born, raised and currently stuck in the Midwest, I'm a former mic jockey (including public radio!) with a penchant for the nerdy and the trendy and an astronaut for a wife. I know, right? I spend ridiculous amounts of time entertaining the world through two podcasts: Illinoise! and The Bored-Again Christian. My dream, of course, is to spend time with David Rakoff and Charlie Pierce as we openly mock Steve Inskeep. A man can dream, can't he?
What's your favorite public radio show?: Uncommon Knowledge
The host is hot and the science is cool. Don't tell my wife I said that.
What's your secret talent?: I can instantly make the funny ... disappear! And I do a killer Mondalit del Barco.
What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?: "Rehab" by Amy Winehouse. They wanted me to go to rehab, but I said no. No. NO!
What sound is most characteristic of where you live?: The guttural sigh of a dream deferred.
What's your favorite sound memory?: Most every morning, as I lay in bed, I hear a sound like acorns rolling down my roof. It's the patter of a squirrel, scrambling from tree to roof to tree. It's my summer evening thunderstorm.
Which station do you listen to most?: WGLT - News, Blues and all that Jazzzzzz
