Bio: Born in Maryland, educated in Colorado, educated some more in Chicago, and currently residing in the Chicagoland area, Alex Maidy is what you would call a "person." He enjoys eating food, breathing, and occassionally writing fiction which other people call "lies."
What's your favorite public radio show?: My favorite show is "Lost in Maidyland," the upcoming blockbuster show starring me!
What's your secret talent?: I have an uncanny ability to remember the most inane details about useless things like music, movies, tv, books, and other media whorish exploits while not being able to remember which bills I paid and if they were on time.
What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?: "Cupid's Chokehold" by the Gym Class Heroes. I tried to pry it out of there with a spatula, but all it did was curl into a ball next to my Medulla Oblongata.
What sound is most characteristic of where you live?: The occassional firecrackers set off to commemorate the daily arrival of 9:24PM.
What's your favorite sound memory?: The very first burp my son let out. The sheer volume made my ashamed of my own bodily abilities.
Which station do you listen to most?: ALEX FM (aka My iPod) or CPR (Chicago Public Radio)
