Bio

I’ve been blessed with many things in life-the first being the mother of two sets of twins (boys-7 and girls – 16 months), a wife and a first grade teacher.

Growing up listening to radio with the women in my family, I was naturally developed
a love for radio. As a child, I was an avid listener to a local children’s radio program.
My love for radio continued to grow when I discovered that there was a lack of
children’s media especially radio that shared my love for African and culturally
inspired stories.

I entered college (Clark Atlanta University) in efforts to learn more about
developing radio and other media programs. During my undergraduate experience,
I created many mock children’s radio programs. Upon completing my Mass Media
arts degree in Radio/TV/Film, I continued to experiment with children and radio as an Atlanta Public Schools teacher. I created and implemented a broadcast journalism curriculum for high school students, giving my students many opportunities to turn their essays and other written pieces in audio adventures. I also gained many experiences by interning at various radio stations including Radio Disney.

Combining her love for stories, children and education, I want to create a radio
program designed to help her children and others increase their aural, oral and written communication skills through audio literature.

I can cart wheel and do round off's!

The sound of the local bus stopping to drop off or pick up passengers.

What's your favorite sound memory?

The theme song for Kids Corner my favorite children's radio program as a child.
