Bio: I'm originally from DeKalb, Illinois and have lived in Los Angeles, Austin, Oklahoma City and a cruise ship in the Caribbean. I'm a composer and conductor who's scored films, written ballets and started his own radio show. I'm now preparing to start a new teaching position at a university in Western New York.
What's your favorite public radio show?: All Things Considered - it comes at the perfect time in the day and it catches me up on what's happening in the world.
What's your secret talent?: I'm a pretty goood photographer too.
What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?: Sorry, I'm a composer - I always have music in my head, but most of it's mine.
What sound is most characteristic of where you live?: Right now I'm in Oklahoma City...the most characteristic sounds I hear where I live are the trains going through town, the kids playing at the elementary school down the street and the pigeons who have nested on our roof.
What's your favorite sound memory?: The first movie I saw as a kid was "Fantasia"...it had a pretty big (and lasting) impact.
