All you need to know is that I love avocados and watermelon, and I can sing the words to every Motown hit while doing a well executed dance routine to go along with the song.

My mom is awesome and she really needs one of her two children to be on the radio (or be famous in any capacity), so I need to win this contest and pay her back for all quarter of a century that I have kept her a nervous wreck while traveling around the world and doing things that no one in their right mind would do.

What's your favorite public radio show?

Democracy Now! and D & A.....I am an in the closet architecture addict/snob.

What's your secret talent?

I can wiggle my ears and I won a loon calling contest in 4th grade.

What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?

Send me your love by Stevie Wonder....it is the ring tone on my coworker's cell phone. Is that even what the words are? Now I am gonna have to go find out.

What sound is most characteristic of where you live?

It is not so much the sound as it is the smell....I work in the Chinatown are of New York City, so it is pretty much a hodge podge of car alarms, women screaming in your ear to buy fake Gucci bags and impatient New Yorkers honking that produces a cacophony of noise, which is only overpowered by the smell of dead octopus and urine in the streets. I am on an eternal quest to trying to hear a single bird's call anywhere in downtown Manhattan.

What's your favorite sound memory?

When I saw Jospeh and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as a youngster, I remember the narrator's voice being so silky and crisp and enchanting that I was inspired to become a performer and have been making audiences laugh and cry ever since. I still can't really carry a tune though. Ooooh and listening to Patsy Line in my mom's VW bug, that is a good one too.

Which station do you listen to most?

hmmmmm...krcw and wxpn, then sometimes the WFUV. I love music but hate the constant traffic and weather updates.
