Bio

I was born and raised in New Orleans, did my undergraduate work at Duke (A. B. in French), and did Master's work in Radio, Television, and Motion Pictures at University of North Carolina. Pursued theatre and singing for years.

Life often leads us in different directions, and my path diverged unexpectedly 14 years ago -- into the area of intuition. Ever the nerd, I have not only used it professionally, but also researched it as a phenomenon, taught it to others, and written about it.

I still love performing and teaching/presenting allows me to still run my mouth! I also love good discussion and scintillating minds!

What's your favorite public radio show?

Car Talk. ah, their sense of humor!

What's your secret talent?

A memory for numbers

What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?

"Hymne a l'amour" right now, but songs are always running through my mind. Things people say will also often remind me of song lyrics.

What sound is most characteristic of where you live?

The sound of mental silence.

What's your favorite sound memory?

Mardi Gras parade from growing up in New Orleans. (And perhaps the sound of the ice cream truck coming down the street.)

Which station do you listen to most?

WUNC -- if I were back in NC. Actually I'll be back there within the next year (I hope!).
