State: FL
Bio: I live in Tallahassee, Florida, with my wife and two children. My degree is in creative writing, but I've worked at everything from playing in a funk band to selling cheese.
I have been on FSU's student run station almost since it began in the late 80s. I currently have a weekly show called the Miracle Nutrition Hour on which I give an Hebrew Bible lesson and talk about nutrition and the Three Stooges.
What's your favorite public radio show?: I like Fresh Air because Terry Gross has some sort of supernatural preparation powers. She's errily well-informed without being pretentious. her guest are from a broad spectrum of disciplines...she's the interview gold standard for me and I have incorporated a total of none of her characteristics and strengths into my style.
What's your secret talent?: I can balance on one foot on a bowling ball.
What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?: "Never My Love" by the Fifth Dimension
What sound is most characteristic of where you live?: I live next to a high school athletic field, so I'd say a marching band version of Rhapsody in Blue.
What's your favorite sound memory?: I lived in Montpellier, France, for a while and they have a music festival where bands set up in the street and our apartment was right over the speed metal venue. And it wasn't annoying. Looking down three stories over a mosh pit is awesome.
