Bio: I was born in Philly, now in Chicago, and own a small design firm. I've had a long interest in voice-over work, since I sang for years and am told I have a nice voice. For fun I'm a competitive figure skater, and as a result I know a lot of big names in the sport and decided to podcast interviews with them. I felt frustrated with how the TV media and writers were covering skating articles, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I'm having a blast doing the podcasts, and when I found out about this contest, I figured, why not!
What's your favorite public radio show?: Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me! with Peter Sagal (followed very closely by Fresh Air and Car Talk). I've seen Wait, Wait in person as well and loved it. I also can't deal with any other news in the morning except for NPR. Those morning TV shows are way too perky and watered down for my taste.
What's your secret talent?: I was almost on the David Letterman show because of a contortion I can do. But I lost to a guy who stopped a rotating fan with his toungue.
What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?: Michael Jackson's "Wanna Be Starting Something."
What sound is most characteristic of where you live?: The El tracks!
Which station do you listen to most?: Chciago Public Radio, and for music on the internet, Radio Paradise.
