Bio

Actor, writer, director, designer, photographer, visual artist, etc. – I have worn more creative hats than it's decent to admit. Currently I appear to be concentrating on the visual arts and on writing. But that could change at any moment. (If past is prologue...)

What's your favorite public radio show?

Don't make me pick! What I love best at a particular moment depends on my mood and the subject matter on offer. I'm an intellectual omnivore. If my brain thinks it tastes good, it's history. Come to think of it, I should admit I especially like history. Social, intellectual, art history best of all. History, as Wilde tells us, is merely gossip. What's not to love about a bit of gossip, yes? Shows that have historical content - and that can be almost ANY show, if it's doing its job correctly - am what I likeses best, yessir!

What's your secret talent?

Sadly, I'm not shy about sharing my talents. (That's not to say I don't have my secrets, though. I have real some doozies, I'm proud to say!) But my talents? They're an open book. From being able to sneeze on cue to singing Russian Gypsy love songs to having a thousand voices and nearly as many accents - I'm embarrassingly WYSIWYG. Heck, I even admit publicly that I can play the accordian. (Calm down, I won't make you listen. I may be unusual, but I'm not cruel.) A secret talent? Don't think I have one. And if there really is one? Well, it's a secret to me!

What sound is most characteristic of where you live?

Most people might say the sound of raindrops. We're famous around here for our lovely raindrops. They make everything so nice and green. BUT your question refers to where I *live*. I don't *live* outside. I visit it now and again and that's VERY nice - but I spend most of my time sitting in front of my computer. And if truth be told, one might even say I live IN my computer. So. A characteristic sound? Howsabout the sound of my keyboard? Yeah. That's my answer. Clickity-clack!

What's your favorite sound memory?

I'm getting older. A "sound memory" is a quality I'm losing along with my hair. Harrumph! Why do you think I cropped my picture so closely?

Which station do you listen to most?
KOAP - my local public radio station, of course! Silly question!
