Bio: I have been a business journalist for 12 years, moving from Milwaukee to San Antonio to New Orleans to Albuquerque. Radio lets me scratch that constant creative itch I don't get from my job
What's your favorite public radio show?: AACK. I can't choose just one! Studio 360. Fresh Air. This American Life. The Bioneers. Too many more to choose.
What's your secret talent?: I can sing. I used to do it a lot. Took voice lessons all through college. Did community theater. I actually have a pretty good voice. But most people don't know that because I don't use that talent very much.
What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?: "Gimme Shelter"
What sound is most characteristic of where you live?: Crickets at night. Cars going way too fast on my street. Birds singing in the morning.
What's your favorite sound memory?: The sound of wind in the pines in the mountains, especially after a heavy snow. Then the trees creak as they sway under the weight.
Which station do you listen to most?: KUNM-FM 89.9
