Bio: Chelsea Voulgares is an independent producer and journalist living in Chicago. She acted as a music DJ for the community radio station WLUW, as an anchor and producer for local radio, an engineer for the progressive talk show Live from the Heartland, and a host for the Chicago World Music Festival. Her print work has appeared in Bust and Venus magazines, and on the web site Gaper's Block.

What sound is most characteristic of where you live?: Trains! I live near an El stop here in Chicago.
