Bio: I'm a square peg with a round mole.
What's your favorite public radio show?: Wait Wait Don't Tell Me. And then Car Talk! And I am currently addicted to The Russel Brand show on BBC Radio 2. (We can count the BBC, NPR'ers you know we all wish we were British.)
What's your secret talent?: I am an amazing crocheter. I practice it while listening to the radio. I'm a twenty something with the soul of a 90 year old.
What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?: Miranda Lamberts new song Desperation
What sound is most characteristic of where you live?: Well in New York it would be the sounds of planes, trains, and automobiles. Or else the sound of 15 comics half heartedly applauding at an open mic. But in the country side of PA where I was reared...crickets, the wind in the trees, guinea chickens skreeeeetching and geese honking.
What's your favorite sound memory?: Once I played an elaborate prank on my friend in college that climaxed in him getting a face full of flour blown into his mouth at 4AM on a Wednesday night. I will never forget the sound of him going, "Mwhoof!" As the flour socked him in the face! Good times were had by all...well except him.
