I've worked in radio for over 11 years now, learning a little of everything from programming to production to promotions, engineering and yes, even sales/underwriting. Now, I split my time as the Broadcast Adviser at KVRX 91.7 FM, the student-run radio station at the University of Texas and as Production Voice Talent for the Entercom Radio Austin cluster of stations.

Radio is my career life. When I'm not working, I'm an artist, event planner, wife to an English gentleman and mother to a mutt named Otis.

Biggest accomplishment recently would be competing and completing my very first triathlon last month and building a giant human-powered hamster art car with my team that premiered in the NYE parade in downtown Austin to 130K attendees.

What's your favorite public radio show?

Hands down, it's Car Talk...love their infectious laugh and banter!

What's your secret talent?

I own an event planning business on the side called The Simplifiers. I've been told that I have a certain knack at planning unforgettable events, whether it's the ultimate Harry Potter birthday for a 13yr old girl or a backyard rockabilly engagement party for a couple in their 20s or an elegant, posh dinner party to celebrate a doctor turning 50, I love coordinating all the little details and making my clients gleam with amazement. What sound is most characteristic of where you live?

Otis, my boston terrier, basenji mix dog, when he yowls in the morning, ready and eager for our early morning walks. It's almost as if he's attempting to formulate words! I love our shared time together as the sun comes up.
