Bio: Two years ago I threw aside my sheltered executive fundraiser life and moved to Highland Park, IL to write, study at Second City, and explore the world of waitressing. I now work with special needs kids who perform musical theatre on the North Shore. Lucky me! They are the light of my life.
What's your favorite public radio show?: Well, honestly, I know nothing about cars, but I do LOVE Tom and Ray Magliozzi. Whenever my friends have had issues with their vehecular modes of transportation...I've always refered them to "Click and Clack." By the way, can I get a dent in my bumper out with a plunger?
What's your secret talent?: I sing like Ethel Merman in the shower. It wasn't a problem until we moved to a condo.
What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?: Camptown Races. I was thinking about Foghorn Leghorn earlier today.
What sound is most characteristic of where you live?: The North Central Metra line is a few hundred feet from our windows. It's one of the sounds that I love about the Chicago area. I'm waiting for the cicadas to take over though.
What's your favorite sound memory?: The sounds we made at the University of Hawaii gamelan rehearsal one summer. I can't believe they let me in there. It filled the room, much like my Merman.
